By allowing customers to purchase and give gift cards to friends, family, or colleagues, you're not only generating immediate sales but also encouraging repeat visits and brand loyalty. Gift cards act as a gateway for new clients who may not have experienced your offerings otherwise. They provide flexibility to the recipient, making them a popular and convenient option for gifting, and giving you the chance to engage with a wider audience.
With Tixtree, you can easily sell gift cards through your box office store. Once a gift card is purchased, the buyer will instantly receive it via email, allowing them to forward it to the intended recipient. The gift card holder can then redeem it on any event in your box office by simply applying the claim code during their purchase.

Create your first Gift Card by filling the essential details.
Value
It's important to note that the gift card value represents its initial balance: the amount available for the gift card holder to spend.
This value may be subject to taxes if you choose to apply taxes on top of the gift card's value.
In this example, VAT is added on top of the gift card value, so the buyer will pay £120.00 at checkout. However, the redeemable value stored on the gift card will be £100.00.
Step 3
You can optionally define an expiration date for the generated voucher.
You can choose between five types of expiration:
Never
The code will be active until the residual value is zero.
After a number of days
The code will be active for X days from the moment of the purchase.
After a number of months
The code will be active for X months from the moment of the purchase.
After a number of years
The code will be active for X years from the moment of the purchase.
On a specific date
The code will be active until midnight on the specified date.
Step 4
Upon saving, your first gift card will be available for purchase, you can preview your store by clicking the corresponding button.
Bonus
Once you create your first one, a banner will be displayed in your box office and on all your events, encouraging visitors to buy a gift card.
