🙋 How to ask questions to buyers and attendees
By default, Tixtree collects the buyer’s full name and email, which are mandatory for completing a purchase and cannot be disabled. The full name helps verify the buyer’s identity if needed, while the email is essential for delivering their eTicket.
Additionally, you can ask attendees custom questions. However, we recommend focusing on the most important ones, as asking too many questions can increase the likelihood of cart abandonment.
How to
Choose a level
You can create questions at both the global level and the event level.
Global
Global-level questions are asked with every order across all of your events.
To create a global-level question, navigate to Settings > Events > Order Form
Event
Event-level question are asked only with a specific event.
Add the question
Click the "add" button from the top right corner.
Question type
Select the question type.
Buyer
This question will be asked only once per order. It is suitable for information that applies to the entire purchase, such as mobile phone numbers and billing addresses of the buyer.
Attendee
This question will be asked for each ticket type (admission ticket) added to the basket.
Add-on
This question will be asked for each add-on added to the basket.
Question format
Select the question format between the six available formats.
Short text
It adds a text box to the order form.
Long text
It adds a text area to the order form.
Single choice
It adds a radio button group to the order form, allowing the buyer to select only one of the proposed options. You can add as many options as needed using the "Add Option" button.
Multiple choice
It adds a checkbox button group to the order form, allowing the buyer to select one or more of the proposed options. You can add as many options as needed using the "Add Option" button.
Dropdown
It adds a dropdown to the order form, allowing the buyer to select only one of the proposed options. You can add as many options as needed using the "Add Option" button. This type well suits a very long list of options.
Acceptance
It adds a checkbox to the order form with a clickable label that reveals the specified content in a pop-up.

It requires the buyer to provide an answer in order to complete the order.
